Dear Ellen Feickert Elementary Students and Families,

 

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Ellen Feickert Elementary.  My name is Catherine Brink and I am excited to join this amazing community!

 

I come to Ellen Feickert Elementary with a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for education. My journey in the field of education began twenty-four years ago after graduating from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Child Development. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary school classroom teacher in three EGUSD schools for 19 years. Following this, I pursued further education and obtained my administrative credential and Masters of Science in Educational Leadership with a focus on Teacher Collaboration. This led me to transition into site leadership as a Vice Principal in EGUSD for five years, spending my last three fulfilling years as the Vice Principal at Mary Tsukamoto Elementary.

 

Education has always been my passion, and as a mother, I've strived to provide my children with the best educational experiences possible. My own experiences as a parent reaffirmed my belief in the importance of collaboration between parents, families, and the school community in ensuring the success of every student. You'll often find me in various areas of the school, from the parking lot to the playground and the cafeteria, as I believe in being actively present and accessible to students, parents, and staff alike. I am already filled with pride to be a part of the Feickert Dragon family, and I am eager to collaborate with all of you in creating an exceptional educational experience for our students.

As your principal, I am committed to prioritizing social-emotional learning, delivering high-quality instruction, and promoting positive behavior to support each student in reaching their fullest potential. I am deeply grateful to the Elk Grove Unified School District Board and district administrators for their trust in my leadership and for entrusting me with the responsibility of guiding your children on their educational journey.
